Americhem has come to the rescue of designers trapped in a gray winter.
The materials firm based in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, released its 2021 Color Trends on Feb. 6. As someone also based in Northeast Ohio, this was welcome news.
A local weather report this week said that during the month of January, every day in Northeast Ohio was either cloudy or partly cloudy. Americhem employees working on the new Color Trends probably looked out the window on another drab day and said: "We can do better than this."
The theme of this year's Americhem color trend palette is Self Care. Officials said that means "to mindfully ensure that you are being cared for by yourself."
Four stories accompany this year's theme. They are: Adventures That Spark You; It's The Little Things; Treat Yourself; and Hitting The Reset Button.
The colors in the palette are vibrant and exciting, officials said, but also are complimented by soft shades that "are easy on the eyes and can bring peace and tranquility."
"Our long running history and experience in the fibers, automotive, healthcare, building and construction and packaging industries played a major factor in which colors we chose," Hailey Cassidy, global branding and digital marketing leader, said in a news release. "Our goal is to inspire our customers by these captivating colors and help them innovate for the future of their products."
