Being pregnant for the first time can be exciting and challenging. Of course, if you're a marketing executive like Noel Daigle, it's also a chance to do some product placement.
Daigle is brand marketing specialist for Polyfuze Graphics Corp. in Clarksdale, Ariz. The firm recently exhibited at the ABC Kids Expo in Las Vegas. At the show, Daigle, who's expecting her first child in July, wore a T-shirt that said "Labelfreak on board" next to an image of two baby footprints.
"People loved it!" Daigle said of reaction to the shirt. "It was definitely a conversation starter. … They wanted to talk about the baby but also about what a 'labelfreak' is.
"Since all of the products at the show are kid and baby-oriented, it was a good way to talk to new people," she added. "I even was able to purchase a stroller the last day of the show."
Polyfuze makes specialty graphic labels, as well as polymer additives that can be used in labels. The firm's labels fuse permanently onto polyolefins.
In 2020, Polyfuze introduced a line of polymer fusion products that contain an antimicrobial additive for medical and health care applications. The technology can be used with any polyolefins where warning labels are required, including on beds, medical carts and laundry carts.
