Resin market veteran Todd Becker has joined distribution firm Osterman & Co.
In mid-2024, Becker was named a strategic adviser to Cheshire, Conn.-based Osterman and soon was promoted to vice president of general sales & marketing.
In a news release, Osterman officials said Becker's transition to a leadership role "underscores [the firm's] commitment to building a team dedicated to providing exceptional service and value to its clients worldwide."
Becker held a variety of roles at PE supplier Nova Chemicals for 17 years. His last position there was vice president of PE sales. Prior to Nova, Becker was at DuPont Co. for 11 years.
In the release, Osterman officials said Becker has "extensive knowledge across key industries," including petrochemicals, plastics, packaging, food and beverage, health care, building and construction and automotive.
"My time at Osterman has been a great experience," Becker said in the release. "I'm very impressed with the strong collaborative culture, positive mindset, highly talented people, an intense customer focus and ability to deliver winning results."
Osterman Executive Vice President David Dever said Becker's contributions "have proven him to be an invaluable asset to our team."
"With his extensive experience and record of success across multiple markets, Todd is well-positioned to drive our strategic initiatives and help us achieve our business goals," he added.
Osterman distributes more than 1 billion pounds of resin and compounds each year from more than 20 suppliers and from its own brand of generic prime resins.
