Geon Performance Solutions has received an environmental service award from the Vinyl Institute.
Geon's PVC compounding plant in Avon Lake, Ohio, has an outstanding track record of performance for five or more consecutive years under the Environmental Protection Agency's National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants and other environmental permit requirements, VI officials said on a LinkedIn post.
Westlake, Ohio-based Geon employs 1,000 and has annual sales of around $800 million. The firm includes one of North America's largest PVC compounding businesses.
Washington-based VI is a U.S. trade organization representing manufacturers of vinyl, vinyl chloride monomer, and vinyl additives and modifiers.
