Just in time for the Super Bowl, Italian compounder Xenia Materials has debuted Xecarb HM, a line of specialty products for the sporting goods market.
(As a Cleveland Browns fan, I'm vaguely aware of this game they call the Super Bowl…Apparently, it's a pretty big deal…)
Xecarb HM grades are specially tailored to meet the increasingly challenging requirements of the sporting goods and industrial goods sectors, Xenia officials said in a news release. Those sectors put a premium on light weight with high stiffness, strength and tenacity, they added.
Officials described Xecarb HM as a range of technical polymers reinforced with high-modulus carbon fibers. The compounds can be based on several grades of nylon, as well as other resins. They have improved impact strength, especially at low temperatures, and combine the easy processability of short-fiber with the mechanical advantages of long carbon- fiber-reinforced compounds, officials said.
I will now return to counting the days until the 2020 NFL Draft, in which the Browns have the 10th overall pick. Here we go, Brownies, here we go!
