And just like that's it's 2020, a new calendar and (for most companies) a new fiscal year. So do you start fresh? Build toward some new plan? Put away the old way of doing things?
I'm not one for New Year's resolutions, personally, but a part of me does love the idea of the potential for new things in the coming seasons. Maybe you've got big ideas for your business in the months ahead. Landing a new client? Launching new products? Getting into a new market? Making acquisitions? New skills? Finally getting a handle on Industry 4.0?
They're all great goals, but we all know that those aren't accomplished easily. There's a lot of day-to-day grinding it out between now and that goal. And there will be hurdles. A key employee takes a new job, or your biggest customer is purchased by someone else, and that acquirer wants to trim the supply base. So making plans is one thing. Being able to adapt those plans is also important.
OK. Pep talk over. Let's go!
