This year's Rising Stars represent the largest and the most diverse group we've had at Plastics News since we began profiling the next generation of industry leaders. As Jordan Vitick, who wrote the stories, noted, they come from "Pakistan to Pittsburgh, Mexico to Michigan."
They also often describe how they had to step outside their comfort zone. Some of that need is driven by circumstances, considering the disruption to business caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. But in their careers they are also taking on new duties, asking questions and closely looking at how they can contribute to a future plastics industry.
This week's print issue of PN profiles 35 people age 35 and younger. We'll also be posting slightly longer profiles for them online all week. The profiles will go on plasticsnews.com, posted throughout the week, in alphabetical order (sorry, Matthew Zessin).
The stories will be accessible to non-subscribers throughout the month of February (although visitors may have to register), then go behind a paywall in March.
