Forget about the latest iPhone news. The phone you really should buy is a true classic that has been updated for today: the Fisher-Price Chatter Telephone.
The toymaker has added bluetooth capability to the bright plastic toy for its 60th anniversary. Once you pair it to your smartphone, you can make and receive calls on it (using the handset or a speaker built into the phone). You even use the rotary dial to make calls — a true nostalgic feature. Its wheels make it a true mobile phone, while a rechargeable battery provides nine hours of talk time.
The phone has sold out online, but as of Oct. 21, it was available in person at Best Buy stores, priced at $60.
"Let's remember what it was like to be little, when everything in the world could be something to play with and all it took was a little imagination to make something really fun happen," Fisher-Price says on its website. "Let's get down on the floor, sing at trees, spend less time growing up and a little more time growing down. Let's be kids."
