Primex Plastics Corp. President Mike Cramer has been named to the Junior Achievement of Eastern Indiana Business Hall of Fame.
Since 1991, the organization has honored the most distinguished people in business for their outstanding contributions to free enterprise and the promise of a better, stronger society, JA officials said in a news release.
Cramer was one of three people honored at a dinner and ceremony March 10 at Forest Hills Country Club in Richmond, Ind. It was the organization's 31st annual event.
JA said the three honorees join a distinguished group of 73 men and women who have been inducted into the JA of Eastern Indiana Business Hall of Fame. Laureates are chosen by a selection committee of business and community leaders, independent of JA.
JA of Eastern Indiana educates and inspires young people to succeed in a global economy through providing free JA programming to local schools on the topics of financial literacy, workforce readiness, and entrepreneurship, officials said. The organization serves Wayne, Fayette, Franklin, Union, and Dearborn Counties, reaching about 3,500 students each year.
Primex is a major sheet extruder based in Richmond. The firm ranked 17th in Plastics News' most recent ranking of North American film and sheet makers, with sales for 2020 estimated at $600 million.
