Safe to say Sana Packaging is not your typical packaging company. The Los Angeles-based company is out with a new lid for your lid.*
Sana is launching its second line of cannabis packaging made from reclaimed ocean plastics.
Dubbed the Sana Ocean Screw-Top lid, the offering is made from 100 percent reclaimed ocean plastic supplied through Oceanworks, which describes itself as a "global marketplace for recycled ocean plastic materials and products."
The child-resistant lids, which come in various colors and sizes, fit glass jars.
"The Sana Ocean Screw-Tops are the first of their kind and we can't wait to see the impact they have on the market," says Ron Basak-Smith, co-founder and CEO of Sana Packaging, in a statement.
The lids and glass jars are available in different colors and sizes, the company said.
Earlier this year, Sana introduced Sana Ocean Tubes, which come in two different sizes to hold, well, you know.
When the company isn't using ocean plastics, its making packaging from "100 percent plant-based hemp plastic," Sana said.
Sana Packaging said its packaging efforts has already used 32,000 pounds of ocean plastics.
