The Oct. 22 show daily features what could arguably be the "greenest" booth at K, the Röchling Industrial SE & Co. KG. The company is showing two sustainable product families for bioplastics and recycled plastics. The Booth itself features flora and fauna, complete with a rusty green automobile and a chimp statue.
Elsewhere in the issue features U.S.-based Plastics Hall of Fame, which came to K with a mission to bring the organization to an international level. Of the 218 people honored for their achievements since the organization formed in 1972, only 39 — or 18 percent — are from outside of the U.S.
Orlando, Fla.-based PureCycle has signed a detailed joint venture agreement with chemical and resins company SK Geo Centric to build a plastic recycling plant using solvent-based technology to clean used PP to create virginlike resin.
All this and so much more. We have two more show dailies coming up on Monday, Oct. 24 and Tuesday, Oct. 25. But stay with us on PlasticsNews.com for all the latest.
