The latest public policy news had the Plastics Industry Association expressing openness on topics like bottle bills and extended producer responsibility legislation. Last month, Senate Democrats made another push to bring action on microplastics. Michigan also adopted a chemical recycling legislation that got a thumbs up from the American Chemistry Council.
Resin prices closed out 2022 with a drop for several engineering and commodity resins in North America.
