Our final issue of 2024's first quarter is a special one: It features our 2023 Processor of the Year award winner PTI Engineered Plastics! 

Read about PTI's history, it's groundbreaking automation innovations and it's community outreach because all of those factors boosted the company to win this year's award. 

This week's issue also highlights the other two finalists for the award: Radius Packaging and Redline Plastics. And we must not forget our 2023 Sustained Excellence winner Mack Molding, which was highlighted in a previous issue.

Also from the cover, plastics industry executives had their yearly fly-in to Washington, D.C., to lobby messages around recycling and plastics environmental issues. Companies from the Plastics Industry Association and the American Chemistry Council also pushed Congress to revamp a research and development tax credit they say is hurting their bottom lines. 

And, Steve Toloken is took an early look into preliminary comments on the Environmental Protection Agency's review into vinyl chloride. Industry and environmental groups are making opposite cases for the feedstock.
