- Maks Plastics LLC, a rotational molder and thermoformer in Mishawaka, just launched in June and already is planning a $5 million equipment expansion.
- Less than seven years after acquiring Peninsula Packaging, Sonoco Products Co. is shuttering the last of the thermoforming manufacturing plants acquired in the deal.
- Ross Eisenberg, the new head of the plastics division at the American Chemistry Council, sees navigating the challenges ahead for the industry as striking a balance between recognizing its problems and advocating for its strengths.
