The entire plastics industry value chain is challenged to move towards a more sustainable material management model. Especially dealing with post-consumer waste plastics has challenged the North American Recycling Market. By China changing their import rules for such materials, our industry has to re-think its approach. The technology to produce high quality recycled pellets from post-consumer plastics is available and can be used to either export such or put them back into products right here at home.
