Alan Barcon’s leadership focus surrounds mid- to long-term new product development programs for the Americas region, as well as the ColorMatrix specialty additives and liquid colorants business.
Prior to assuming his current role expansion in 2019, Mr. Barcon led both the marketing and technical functions for the ColorMatrix North America business. He joined Avient in 2012 where he had a series of expanding roles, first as Lead R&D Chemist, then as Market Development Manager and lastly as Senior Industry Manager for Geon Performance Materials. Prior to joining Avient, Mr. Barcon spent eight years at Teknor Apex Company, where he held several key technical roles in their Chemicals Division.
Mr. Barcon holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and mathematics from Rutgers University, a master’s degree in organic chemistry from the University of Michigan and an MBA from the University of Memphis.
Sr. Industry Manager, Food & Beverage Packaging, Color North America | Avient Corporation
Kristin Meyers is senior industry manager, color and additive products for the Color North America group at Avient Corporation. She is responsible for the development of the strategic marketing plan and technical roadmap, as well as market-facing promotion for color and additive products positioned for the food and beverage packaging industry.
Prior to joining Avient in 2017, Ms. Meyers worked for Diebold, Inc. and Moen, Inc. in a number of key marketing roles, including product management, marketing communications and global strategic portfolio management.
Ms. Meyers holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Cleveland State University and has completed additional education and certification in executive leadership, pragmatic marketing and product management disciplines.
