Awards season didn't end on Sunday with the Oscars. In fact, Plastics News' awards week is just beginning.
Later today at PN's Executive Forum in Clearwater Beach, Fla., we'll hand out the awards for the Best Places to Work in the plastics industry. You can find an alphabetical list of the finalists here, but tonight's event will list where each company ranked. Full profiles of the winners will be printed in the April 15 print issue of Plastics News.
On Wednesday, March 13, PN will name its Chief Financial Officer of the Year, followed by the Processor of the Year award, the biggest honor PN gives out every year.
There are three finalists this year: PTI Engineered Plastics of Macomb, Mich., Radius Packaging of New Berlin, Wis., and Redline Plastics LLC of Manitowoc, Wis.
In addition, Mack Molding Co. will receive the Sustained Excellence Award on Wednesday, March 13.
The award is given only to past Processor of the Year winners. Arlington, Vt.-based Mack received that award for 2006. At that point, it had sales of $277 million and employed 1,850 people. Now it has sales of about $600 million and employs more than 3,000.
The 104-year-old company managed to withstand macroeconomic global changes, adapt to new demands during the early days of COVID-19, add clean room molding and continue to grow. Editor Don Loepp has a profile of the company here.
We'll be sending out breaking news email alerts as other awards are announced. Make sure you're signed up for them here.
