The number of plastics mergers and acquisition deals in the first half of 2023 declined compared to the same period a year ago, the result of higher interest rates and economic uncertainty.
While deal volume is down, some end markets remain hot, including medical, rigid packaging and custom molding. Private equity is still active, but a bit off the pace of the past few years.
