I found your blog about electrical vehicles replacing gasoline-powered vehicles interesting and thought-provoking. ["When will we see the end of the internal combustion engine," Jan. 25, Page 6]
As a resident of Ohio, it seems unfortunate to me that owners of hybrid vehicles in this state have to pay an additional $100 per year in registration fees and owners of electrical vehicles have to pay an additional $200 per year. I understand that additional funds are needed to pay for road repair and such a fee structure is popular in many state legislatures, but these fees are not an incentive to purchase electrical vehicles. I am curious as to how vehicle manufacturers are responding to this hindrance in acceptance of electrical vehicles.
