East Walpole, Mass.-based advanced materials manufacturer Hollingsworth & Vose Co. is investing $40.2 million to expand one of its Floyd, Va., facilities.
The expansion will add over 28,000 square feet to the company's existing facility and add new production equipment to meet increased demand, a Jan. 3 news release said. The project is expected to create 25 new jobs in the area.
"We've been a part of the Floyd ... community since 1976," Josh Ayer, CEO of H&V said in the release. "This facility is essential to serving both our global and domestic customers."
Hollingsworth & Vose did not immediately respond to inquiries by Plastics News.
The company manufactures materials used in filtration, battery, membranes and industrial applications at 15 global facilities in the U.S., Europe, Mexico, China and India, using nylon, polyethersulfone and polyvinylidene fluoride among other products.
