Southfield, Mich.-based consulting firm Harbour Results Inc. (S26202) has been acquired by Milwaukee-based Wipfli LLP (S26197), a national advisory and accounting firm.
Founded in 2009, HRI offers industry analysis and guidance on operational improvements, strategic development, benchmarking and more to the tooling, stamping, die casting, precision machining and other industries.
Founder Laurie Harbour and her staff will transition to Wipfli and continue to serve the manufacturing industry.
Effective May 1, the deal adds 14 employees to Wipfli's 3,200 and more than 60 clients to Wipfli's 60,000.
Wipfli has been in business for more than 90 years serving similar clients.
Both firms have helped fortify companies with innovative and practical advice.
"Wipfli's culture of service and innovation aligns well with Harbour Results' passion for revitalizing the manufacturing industry," Laurie Harbour, president and CEO, said in a news release. "Just like Wipfli, we are dedicated to giving 100 percent to our clients and associates. Together, we'll be able to have a bigger impact on the manufacturing industry."
Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
The deal combines the two companies' data and strategy teams. Wipfli gains Harbour's proprietary benchmarking service while HRI's clients gain access to Wipfli's strong technology team and broader suite of advisory and integrated solutions.
"Harbour Results' expertise and track record in benchmarking and forecasting will help us provide more insights and perspectives to our clients," Brian Blaha, Wipfli's growth leader, said in the release. "Today's modern market is increasingly complex. Together, we'll be able to cut through the chaos and deliver targeted strategies and solutions."
Wipfli Managing Partner Kurt Gresens, said the deal furthers its strategic growth priorities.
"We're looking forward to expanding our client base — and services — in manufacturing," he said. "We're also excited to deepen Wipfli's ties in Michigan. The state's strong business climate and manufacturing foundation make it an exciting geographic area for us to expand in."
