Injection molder Preformed Line Products Co. recently acquired Delta Conectores, S.A. de C.V., in Mexico, expanding the Cleveland-based company's capabilities there.
Delta Conectores makes "substation connector systems and accessory hardware for high-voltage AC systems," a news release stated, and Preformed Line Products is a maker of products for the energy and telecommunications industries. Financial terms of the acquisition were not included in the release.
"The addition of Delta to the PLP family expands our existing substation product offering. They bring a high level of design expertise and bolster our manufacturing capabilities in North America. We are excited to welcome the Delta team to PLP," said Ryan Ruhlman, vice president of marketing and business development, in the release.
Preformed Line Products also recently announced that it was investing $16 million to expand its Rogers, Arkansas, operations. According to a news release, the 82,000-square-foot expansion will increase the company's "manufacturing capacity and provide additional warehouse space to ensure adequate product stock is available for customers to complete critical power and communications line repairs and large-scale installations."
