"With Belle-Pak's advanced technology and efficient manufacturing capabilities, our combined company will be well-positioned for continued growth," ProAmpac CEO Greg Tucker said in a statement.
Belle-Pak CEO Yves Nahmias, also in a statement, indicated his company's "strength in the e-commerce, logistics and health care end markets complements ProAmpac's leadership in product innovation and manufacturing scale."
ProAmpac has grown to about 50 locations around the globe with more than 7,000 employees thanks to a series of acquisitions over the past several years. The packaging company is owned by Pritzker Group Private Capital of Chicago, management and other investors.
The deal for Belle-Pak follows ProAmpac's earlier acquisitions of Rosenbloom Groupe Inc., Hymopack Ltd., and Dyne-A-Pack in Canada in December 2020.
"This strategic acquisition adds valuable customer relationships to ProAmpac and positions the combined company for long-term growth in attractive end markets," Pritzker Vice President Kaitlyn Desai said in a statement.
Belle-Pak, founded in 1991, has more than 200 employees at a 180,000-square-foot location serving Canada, the United States and Mexico.
Customers include financial institutions, armored car companies, retailers, law enforcement agencies, hospitals and hotels. Brands using Belle-Pak packaging include Canada Post, Federal Express, United States Postal Service, 3M, United Parcel Service and Purolator, the company said.
