Louisville, Ky.-based Isco Industries has acquired substantially all of the assets of Mayville, Wis.-based Infinity Plastics LLC, a manufacturer of high density polyethylene piping products, to strengthen its operational and logistics capacity.
Formed in 1984, Infinity Plastics adds a strategic location to Isco's footprint across the United States and Canada, increases production capacity, and brings an experienced team led by Infinity Plastics owner Andy Zipperer, according to a news release about the deal.
Terms were not disclosed.
Infinity Plastics supplies poly bags and vacuum-formed trays in addition to polywrap encasement for ductile iron pipe, the company website says. The polywrap comes in sheets or tubes from 16- to 108-inches wide and it offers external corrosion protection for buried ductile-iron pipe and fittings, the website also says.
The acquisition of the pipe-related assets is in line with a strategy to support growing customer needs, the release says.
Founded in 1962, Isco serves a range of applications and end markets, including golf irrigation, landfill, gas distribution, district energy, mining, geothermal, power generation, municipal, marine, oil and gas, culvert rehab and more.
"Isco continually evaluates opportunities to complement and strengthen our ability to serve customers," Isco CEO Jimmy Kirchdorfer said. "Andy Zipperer and his team at Infinity Plastics have built a reputation for producing high-quality HDPE piping products. They are an ideal addition to the Isco family, and will enhance the breadth of products and solutions that Isco can offer our customers."
Zipperer said he has been in the business for 30 years and equates the Isco name with quality.
"Jimmy and his brother Mark have continually invested in their people, business, and facilities," Zipperer said. "Choosing to be a part of that culture provides our Wisconsin team the opportunity to thrive. It's the right fit and aligns with our commitment to our people and customers."
With this acquisition, Isco now has a total of 36 facilities in the U.S. and Canada.
In addition to manufacturing and distributing HDPE piping products, Isco sells, services and rents McElroy fusion equipment.
