Richfield, Wis.-based Delta T Systems, an industrial process systems manufacturer, says its VS chiller product line is now compatible with virtual network computing (VNC), which allows remote viewing and full interaction with the touchscreen display and control parameters.
The system uses a VNC client connection to keep production managers and personnel remotely connected from anywhere at any time be it another production area, plant office or from home.
Delta says the VNC gives users the flexibility to access information as if they were sitting directly in front of any chiller’s human-machine interface (HMI). Users can verify process integrity and change operating parameters.
The touchscreen features a port that connects via cable or wireless access point to the third-party VNC software. Once connected, VNC clients can remotely control any chiller within a production area network or separate browser tabs can be used to interact with multiple chillers.
Delta says the system increases productivity by giving workers the control and flexibility to work smarter and more efficiently without having to physically go to a chiller to carry out process management tasks.
The VNC software is available for most operating systems, including IOS and Android, and can be downloaded, often for free from a variety of suppliers, according to Delta T Systems.
The company has been manufacturing temperature control units and process chillers based for more than 25 years.
