Auxiliary equipment maker Foremost Machine Builders Inc. has become the North American representative of Oktomat equipment for emptying all material out of gaylords or bulk storage bags, made by Helios GmbH in Rosenheim, Germany.
The Oktomat system uses a vibrating suction head instead of a suction pipe. An automatic bag tightening mechanism pulls the flexible bulk bag wall upward. As a result, the bag tightens and the bulk material in the corner and side area flows to the central suction point.
At the end of the discharging process, the almost empty bulk bag is automatically lifted up from the bottom, giving a complete material discharge. The vibrating suction head and bag tightener device are suspended from a base frame above the gaylord or bulk bag.
Foremost Machine Builders, based in Fairfield, N.J., makes loaders, blowers and cyclones, granulators, blenders, mixer, metal detectors and separators, bulk material hoppers and resin silos, among other products.
