Process equipment manufacturer Gericke Group is celebrating its 125th anniversary as a pioneer in the development of powder processing systems and equipment.
Walter H. Gericke found the company in 1894 in Zurich, Switzerland to meet the growing demand for automatic handling systems for flour mills. Gericke pioneered a series of engineering innovations in pneumatic conveying, feeding, milling, mixing, blending, weighing and other processes, earning patents and expanding worldwide.
Now headed by a fourth generation of the family, Markus Gericke, the managing director and CEO, the company offers a complete range of equipment and engineering expertise for the automated handling of dry, bulk materials from the railcar, silo or bulk bag through to the processing and filling lines.
Gericke today operates nine facilities in Europe, Asia, South America and North America.
"My great-grandfather started with idea to help people better manage their bulk powders with innovative, reliable, automated equipment,” said Markus Gericke, who started with the family business in 1993. “It’s a privilege to carry on his work and I’m grateful for the talented team of Gericke employees working hard to bring his vision around the world.”
