Horsham, Pa. — Testing equipment manufacturer Ametek Inc. launched a new software under its Lloyd Instruments brand to test the physical properties of raw material prior to processing and to develop new designs.
Called NexygenPlus 4.1, the software works with the company's LS and LD series of testing machines to ensure tests of rubber and plastic products, such as tires, O rings, pipes, bottles, shoe soles, plastic films, dumb bells, medical plastics, tubing and more are carried out in accordance with international standards.
Like previous versions of NexygenPlus, the software contains a library of predefined test setups for tension, compression, 3- and 4-point bend and shear tests as well as checking the "slip" of plastic wrapping film, the torque of bottle tops and the peel of adhesive seals.
The new 4.1 version also has a more intuitive interface and navigation was simplified but maintains the advanced functionality. It can be purchased as an upgrade to older NexygenPlus versions or as part of a new solution.
In addition, the software comes with an option for video capture and playback of stress/strain data. The security and audit trail module provide traceability and full automation capacity for automatic testing.
