Warren, Mich. — Proper Group International LLC has developed a smart phone app to connect customers to critical mold information while they request service and repair work.
Called Proper e-Connect, the app gives customers an online searchable dashboard of their molds, access to documents, and a service portal that links them directly to the maintenance team for on-demand support.
Customers also can submit and track service tickets, take pictures and videos of issues, and message Proper from the app.
Each mold will have a "call for service" tag with a quick response (QR) code that will send customers straight to the e-Connect app with a scan of the tag using any QR code reader on a mobile device.
Proper worked with CaptureMore, a tech company in Ferndale, Mich., to improve its customer experience for service, according to Sean Brolley, CaptureMore's vice president of sales and marketing.
"In these new working conditions, with limited travel forcing teams to manage projects remotely, it is imperative that companies have simple, secure, and efficient processes for communicating," Brolley said in a news release. "The e-Connect app is a no-hassle solution that globally links production plants directly to the teams that build the tools to troubleshoot issues right from the plant floor."
The e-Connect app will come free of charge with all new molds built by Proper Tooling, a unit of Warren-based Proper Group.
Founded in 1971 as a mold maker for the automobile industry, Proper Group has a technology business unit that provides tooling, prototypes, and texturing to the plastics industry.
CaptureMore, the creators of the e-Connect software, will also be offering the app. For more information, go to https://www.capturemore.co.
