Sesotec GmbH, a German manufacturer of metal detectors and X-ray systems for inspection, sorting and material analysis, has opened a sales, service and training center in Guelph, Ontario.
Called Sesotec Canada, the subsidiary opened in early May to sell and service machines and systems for the food and plastics industries that can detect foreign object and analyze material.
The work previously was handled by a Sesotec facility in Chicago.
The Guelph showroom will have demonstration equipment and stock spare parts.
Vincent Le Bourdais was named Sesotec Canada’s regional sales manager. He has experience with consumer protection and safety systems in the food industry and will support customers in the Quebec area and the Maritime Provinces.
Bourdais said in a news release that Sesotec is an innovative company that "helps the food industry to produce safe products and waste less."
Doug Pedersen, Sesotec Canada President Doug Pedersen, added, "As our business grows, so does the Sesotec Canada team.“
Sesotec also has subsidiaries in Singapore, China, Italy, India and Thailand. The company manufactures.
