Pont-Saint-Martin, Italy — Thermoplay SpA, a business within the Barnes Molding Solutions unit of Barnes Group Inc., says it has released the ultimate generation of its D-Bushing brand gate bushing to add safety, stability, and reliability to the molding process while using less energy.
The gate bushing is typically used in hot runner nozzles for preserving the gate point quality and preventing plastics wear in nozzle components.
D-Bushing also is a good solution for frequent cavity plate changes, according to a Thermoplay news release.
The company says the D-Bushing line has been designed for the new Thermoplay TF nozzles and is equipped with a double sealing ring on the external diameter to protect the injection system from any thermoplastic leakage.
The D-Bushing also creates a barrier that increases the nozzle insulation and reduces the thermal dispersion, which reduces energy consumption, the release says.
In addition, the external sealing diameter of the D-Bushing strengthens the nozzles while preserving the internal components from wear and possible accidental damage during assembly and disassembly operations.
Barnes Molding Solutions is a business unit within Barnes Group Inc., which includes injection molding hot runners and controls companies like Synventive, männer, FOBOHA, Priamus, and Gammaflux in addition to Thermoplay.
