Indianapolis — Würth Additive Group is distributing Arburg Inc.'s patented freeformer additive manufacturing technology in the U.S. and Canada.
The companies signed an agreement that expands Würth's suite of 3D printing technology offerings for product and material developers in general manufacturing and end markets such as oil and gas, heavy equipment and transportation.
Arburg's Plastic Freeforming (APF) technology lets Würth tap into a new range of options for industrial additive manufacturing, according to Würth Additive Group CEO AJ Strandquist.
"Our customers will benefit from the adaptability of the of the freeformer, as it allows for maximum customization through an extensive materials database," Strandquist said in a news release. "We continue to fill in the gaps for our customers who are adopting additive and provide support in every avenue they need to be successful."
Würth Additive Group, a Würth Industry North America company, has been providing rapid prototyping and printing production tools since 2017.
