Industrial toolmaker Adler Industrial Solutions Inc. of Lee's Summit, Mo., has launched a high-precision machining subsidiary, Adler Precision Components.
Adler Precision is also based in Lee's Summit, where a third Adler unit — R&D/Leverage, which makes injection stretch blow molding tools — is headquartered. Adler Precision will serve the industrial, defense and aerospace sectors, the parent company said in a recent news release.
The parent company also announced it has invested more than $8.5 million in cutting-edge equipment across its various companies in the past 12 months.
The equipment includes two Arburg presses with automation and one injection blow molding machine each from Novapax and Uniloy, along with six five-axis mills and various auxiliary equipment.
In addition to Adler Precision and R&D/Leverage, which makes injection and blow molds for the food and beverage, health care and personal care markets, Adler owns R&D Europe in Ashfield, England; Pinnacle Molds Inc. in Saegertown, Pa. (formerly Shorts Tool and Mfg. Inc.); and mold design, repair and manufacturing shop Rapid Mold Solutions in Erie, Pa.
