La Jolla, Calif. — Advanced Pedestals Inc. and Lone Star Chemical have been named top workplaces in plastics for 2025.
The full list was announced March 12 at the Plastics News Executive Forum in La Jolla. This marks the 12th year for the Best Places to Work awards.
Advanced Pedestals topped the list of processors for the second consecutive year. The custom rotational and injection molder in Gainesville, Texas, was founded in 1996. This is the company's third appearance on the list.
Advanced Pedestals’ Chief Operating Officer Jeremy Williams said winning the award is a testament to the company culture of appreciation and empowerment.
“To our amazing team, your passion for what we do is the heartbeat of the company. Every day you show up not just to work. But to build something extraordinary together. This award belongs to each of you.”
Lone Star Chemical, a family-owned plastics distributor based in Argyle, Texas, topped the list of suppliers. Lone Star was founded in 1974 and specializes in commodity and PLA resins.
Lone Star has recognition programs for employee milestones, supports local charities and sponsors staff activities that include Halloween costume contests, Christmas dinner and party, and birthday luncheons.
Lone Star Chemical Sales Director Lauren Enyaert said the company a big supporter of training its workers, and its core value is family values.
“Treat everyone like family, support each other through the ups and downs,” she said.
