In a label market deal, All American Label & Packaging has acquired Western Shield Label & Packaging for an undisclosed price.
All American of Dublin, Calif., operates an in-house creative studio and makes shrink sleeves, folding cartons, flexible packaging and related products. The firm was founded in 1995 and serves several markets including food, wine, beverage and personal care. All American also operates a plant in Memphis, Tenn.
Rancho Dominguez, Calif.-based Western Shield is a leading provider of pressure sensitive prime labels and packaging solutions for food and beverage, health and beauty and general industrial end markets, officials said in a news release.
"We are thrilled to partner with All American Label for our next phase of growth," CEO Nizar Elias added.
Mesirow Financial of Chicago acted as exclusive financial adviser to Western Shield in the deal. In the release, Mesirow managing director Louis Mitchell said that Western Shield "is a truly exceptional label and packaging platform."
"We believe All American is an ideal strategic partner, committed to furthering [Western's] long-term growth objectives," he added.
All American is owned by private equity firm Heartwood Partners of Norwalk, Conn. Heartwood also owns gasket maker Sur-Seal Co. of Cincinnati.
