Industrial roller manufacturer American Roller Co. has made its third acquisition in 12 months with the purchase of Petco Inc., based in Lake Forest, Ill. Its operations will be moved to American Roller’s facility in Union Grove, Wis., about 35 miles to the north. All employees are being retained.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
American Roller will increase its urethane casting business with the acquisition. It said it plans to make further announcements in early 2024 about its future business strategy.
“We were seeking a true partner to carry on our success who was on solid financial ground and had a dynamic company management,” said Petco President Russell Smith. “A partner committed to our employees and also committed to servicing our clients that earned us their trust and loyalty over many years.”
This deal follows on from American Roller’s November 2022 acquisition of Big River Roller in Paris, Ark. This business was founded in 2019 and grew during the pandemic. It also acquired Bonell Manufacturing in Riverdale, Ill., in January 2023. This expanded its capabilities in core fabrication, repair, design and manufacturing.
