Forced to cancel last’s year event, Arburg has decided that this year ’s Technology Days, the company’s annual in-house exhibition, will be special.
Not only will it be "Covid-secure," the company is planning to extend the event’s length: instead of the traditional four, it will now run for six days at the company’s headquarters in Lossburg, Germany.
The event is scheduled to take place June 7-12 and will be carefully orchestrated to ensure that visitors can attend safely in person.
"Although we have pushed on with our hybrid and digital events really effectively over the past few months, personal contact with our customers is extremely important to us and that is not going to change. That’s why we are doing everything in our power to ensure our world-renowned and respected Technology Days will this year be a successful and exciting in-person event,” said Juliane Hehl, managing partner with responsibility for marketing.
Arburg’s Technology Days have been a fixture on the plastic’s industry calendar for over two decades. Although — in the light of the uncertainties about the pandemic — the date has been pushed back from March to June, "nothing about the concept itself, which has been a successful one for more than 20 years, will change," the company emphasizes.
Arburg takes its responsibility towards all customers, partners and employees very seriously, and will put in place a consistent and well-proven safety and hygiene concept. The spacious design of the headquarters ensures there is room for both exhibits and visitors. Attendees will be separated into small groups, each with an individual expert guide, and each group will tour the company at a specific time. This system will ensure the number of visitors at one time will remain at the specified maximum.
Note that Arburg has made these plans on the assumption that the epidemiological outlook will have changed for the better by June 2021. With the vaccination programs that are already underway, this seems more than likely.
