Avery Dennison Performance Tapes will expand its manufacturing facility in Painesville, Ohio, adding more than 25 full-time jobs.
According to a news release, the expansion will add about 32,000 square feet to the plant, which supports customers in industries such as automotive, packaging and construction. The facility will add a new coater and production line for the manufacturing of multilayer pressure-sensitive tapes, as well as supporting equipment for ventilation, controlled humidification and more.
The groundbreaking is expected to take place in September, with completion in the middle of 2022. The target for product manufacturing is July 2022.
"Avery Dennison is a longtime employer in Northeast Ohio," said Steve Flannery, vice president and general manager of Performance Tapes North America, in the release. "We are extremely excited for our continuing involvement as a good neighbor and an important part of the community's economic vitality."
The Avery Dennison investment is being supported by JobsOhio, Team NEO and the city of Painesville. The city is considering a tax abatement for the expansion and for replacing a water main, the release said.
California-based Avery Dennison Corp.has more than 32,000 employees across the globe. It reported sales of about $7 billion in 2020.
