Additives maker Baerlocher USA is bringing plastics recyclers to Cincinnati for the company's second annual recycling summit.
The free gathering, scheduled for Aug. 22-23 at the Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza Hotel, will include presentations, case studies, panel discussions and a tour of a local recycling facility. There also will be networking opportunities and a dinner cruise on the Ohio River. Attendees are responsible for their own travel and hotel expenses.
"Bringing together stakeholders from the plastics community can help everyone learn about macro trends, new technologies and noteworthy initiatives in recycling," Baerlocher USA Ed Hall said in a statement. "Only by sharing and debating different ideas, insights and approaches can we hope to advance efforts that address the tough challenges of plastic waste collection, processing, stabilization, formulation and reuse."
Scheduled speakers include representatives from the Association of Plastic Recyclers, Granite Peak Plastics, Clorox, Nova Chemicals, Envision Plastics, Natura PCR, Altium Plastics, W. Müller USA, Rumpke Waste & Recycling and Baerlocher.
"The goals of this educational event are teaching, learning and collaborating to expand and improve plastics recycling across the value chain," said Baerlocher, which is part of Germany-based Baerlocher Group.
