BCS Automotive Interface Solutions U.S. LLC, a subsidiary of Germany-based BCS Automotive Interface Solutions GmbH, is closing its Galesville, Wis., plant, resulting in the permanent layoff of 57 hourly and salaried employees.
Layoffs are expected to begin July 1 and the plant is expected to be closed by Dec. 30, a notice to the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development said.
The employees do not have bumping rights and "the order of separations will be determined by business needs," the notice said.
BCS did not immediately respond to inquiry for comment by Plastics News.
The number of employees laid off "may be less due to potential attrition," it said, such as voluntary quits or transfers, "between now and the effective dates on these actions."
