Berry Global Group Inc. will expand a blown film plant in Indiana through what is being described as a "multimillion-dollar" project by local economic development officials.
The 40,000-square-foot expansion in Odon, Ind., will create 11 new jobs.
Berry, based in Evansville, Ind., is receiving up to $100,000 in conditional tax credits from the Indiana Economic Development Corp. The credits are tied to job creation.
Berry was considering both Odon and another location for the expansion, Daviess County Council President Mike Sprinkle said in a news release.
"Berry Global's decision is incredibly positive both for the town of Odon and Daviess County — this expansion of their existing facility and production capacity makes strong strategic sense for all parties involved," said Bryant Niehoff, executive director of the county EDC.
