Equipment technology manufacturer CMD Corp., of Appleton, Wis., said it is committed to the whole well-being — body, mind and soul — of its employees.
The wellness program includes personal health coaching for employees and spouses as well as financial wellness with a personal financial expert. CMD intertwines prizes with activities and challenges that reward a healthy lifestyle.
Flex time is available to meet family and personal needs.
Team members are encouraged to participate in the community. CMD pays the costs for employees' charity runs and walks. Employees can volunteer during the day at local food pantries and other charitable organizations.
Trust, respect and collaboration are CMD's core values.
"CMD believes that employees working together with respect and trust stimulate an energized environment, free from judgment and open to progressive ideas," the company said in its Best Places to Work questionnaire.
CMD also values fulfillment and fun. The company hosts activities throughout the year such as cookie day, "pi" day, ice cream day, chili cook-offs, tailgate parties, food trucks, popcorn days and company picnics.
The annual holiday party includes a gourmet meal, entertainment, games, activities, charity raffles, and gifts to all employees and guests. Team member service anniversaries and achievements are acknowledged at the party as well.
"Employees collaborate, respecting new points of view, creating improved processes and products," CMD said in its survey. "Working together and openly and with the knowledge that their voice matters not only reduces stress, it enhances individual success."
CMD previously made Plastics News' Best Places to Work lists every year since 2015.
