Scottsdale, Ariz. — Carlisle Cos. Inc. will invest $60 million to build a 445,000-square-foot plant in Sikeston, Mo., to make its polyiso building panels in the Midwestern U.S.
Construction will start this summer, and the first phase is expected to be completed by the end of the first quarter of 2023.
"This new facility is not only an opportunity to bring more jobs to the area, but it allows [Carlisle] to better meet the needs of our customers in this important and growing region," CEO Chris Koch said.
Scottsdale-based Carlisle said it chose Sikeston because it is well located to serve customers in the central U.S., Nick Shears, president of the company's construction materials business segment, said.
The facility will be the 50th for Carlisle's Construction Materials segment (CCM). It will be made with the "latest advances in LEED building and ESG principles," the company said in a news release.
"Additionally, this central location will both reduce the carbon footprint of CCM's supply chain and improve material lead times for customers in this region where the use of insulation in the building envelope is steadily increasing," Carlisle said.
