The parent company of Accella Polyurethane Systems LLC says it is "contemplating" the sale of its Delphos, Ohio, facility, and may close it if it can't find a buyer within 60 days.
In a worker adjustment and retraining notice (WARN) sent to officials in Ohio on Jan. 12, the company says layoffs will begin March 13 and end by March 31 if it cannot complete a sale, affecting 71 employees.
Arizona-based Carlisle Companies purchased Accella — a manufacturer of spray polyurethane foam (SPF) and liquid applied roofing (LAR) products — in 2017, from Arsenal Capital Partners, in a $670 million cash deal. In 2019, the Accella Polyurethane Systems SPF unit was rebranded as Carlisle Spray Foam Insulation.
The Delphos site, purchased by Accella from RTH Processing and RDT Manufacturing in 2014, produces colored EPDM granules for playground surfacing and rolled rubber products.
