Agilyx Corp., which uses chemical recycling to recover used plastics, will open additional offices on the East Coast of the United States and in Northern Europe.
The Tigard, Ore.-based company said final site selections will take place over the next two months for the offices that "will house various corporate and business development functions."
"Our team has worked tirelessly over the past 15 years to turn everyday plastics into a renewable resource, and the current market interest driving the scaling of our capabilities on a global scale is evidence that we are achieving our vision," CEO Joe Vaillancourt said in a statement.
Agilyx uses pyrolysis to recycle used polystyrene, both rigid and expanded, into PS monomer. The company also can return mixed plastics into oil.
