Chroma Color Corp. has acquired color concentrates maker Approved Color LLC for an undisclosed price.
Greenville, N.H.-based Approved was founded in 1975. The firm makes color concentrates for toys, clothing, cookware, food containers, bottles and other markets.
In a news release, Chroma CEO Joe Herres said "in our experience, readiness is paramount in acquisitions."
"You must always be prepared to seize opportunities as they arise, as you never know when you'll encounter a company like Approved Color," he added. "We are very proud of our acquisition team's unwavering dedication that has led us to add another high-quality color concentrate and masterbatch manufacturer to enrich our portfolio for our customers."
Officials with Chroma in McHenry, lll., said that the acquisition of Approved "further bolsters Chroma Color's strengths in supporting our customers."
The acquisition is the 10th since 2018 for Chroma, but the company's first since late 2021 when it bought color concentrates maker J. Meyer & Sons Inc. of West Point, Pa.
Chroma supplies specialty color and additive concentrates. Its markets include health care, consumer products, packaging, wire, cable and pharmaceuticals.
