Saunton, Va.-based medical and drug delivery maker Cadence Inc. has added a new ISO class 7 clean room at its Sturgeon Bay, Wis., manufacturing facility.
"We are thrilled to add clean room manufacturing in Wisconsin as it allows us to best address the growing finished device needs of our customers, as well as complements our injection molding and metal stamping capabilities," Sandy Sekadlo, director of operations at Cadence's Wisconsin facility, said in a June 28 news release.
The medical supplier expects the clean room to be operational the week of July 17, Beth Alltop, executive projects and communications manager told Plastics News in an emailed statement.
Cadence declined to comment on the cost of the investment.
The company now offers certified clean room manufacturing at four of its facilities, "including a near shore location in Costa Rica," the release said.
Cadence has more than 700 employees globally at locations in Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Wisconsin, and Costa Rica.
