The Association of Rotational Molders has announced the election of two members into the Rotational Molding Hall of Fame, Martin Coles and Susan Gibson. The induction ceremony is on Sept. 26 at the Association of Rotational Molders annual meeting and Rotoplas.
Coles has been a part of the rotomolding industry since the 1980s and has worked for Italian polyethylene producer EniChem.
During the past 38 years, he has presented at various conferences in Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia and the U.S. His presentations usually highlight and demonstrate the new technology and progress in the industry.
Thirty-two years ago he founded Matrix Polymers in the United Kingdom with Nick Henwood, another Hall of Famer from the class of 2022. The company is a material supplier that is focused on rotomolding with locations throughout three continents and over 250 employees.
Coles contributes to RotoWorld magazine and writes mostly about energy efficiency and developing young talent to support the future. He has created conversations around various topics including issues of recycling, plastic pollution and environmental impact.
Gibson has been in the industry since 1991 when she founded Rotation magazine for the Association of Rotational Molders. She also founded RotoWorld in 2005 for the rotational molding and plastic design industries.
RotoWorld is a publication that focuses on the technologies, innovation, product design, materials, equipment and market updates within the rotational molding industry.
Gibson is also president of JSJ Productions Inc. which she owns with her daughter, Jennifer Gibson Hebert.
Over 30 years, Gibson has also been present within the industry and has attended and reported on events within every major rotational molding market.
