Medical and health care packaging maker Comar LLC sits in the unique position of being a well-established company that's also experiencing tremendous growth.
To reflect the changes taking place at the Voorhees, N.J.-based firm, Comar is out with a new logo as well as new "sub-brands to reflect and address unique market needs."
"Since Comar's founding 72 years ago, we've constantly been evolving to better serve our customers — through new services, capabilities, and engineered solutions," CEO Mike Ruggieri said in a statement. "Furthering this spirit of evolution, I am excited to launch our brand refresh as a signal of our continual improvement and to herald the next evolution of Comar."
The company also is creating the Comar Medical and Comar Packaging Solutions sub-brands that "reflect our broad range of capabilities and our deep expertise to meet the distinct demands of each market," said Scott Conklin, executive vice president of sales and marketing, in a statement.
Comar's marketing department worked with Philadelphia-based consulting firm Finch Brands to create the new approach.
Creation of the sub-brands "provides the dedicated focus to conquer market-specific challenges for its customers," the company said.
Comar also recently provided details about the company's new 230,000-square-foot plant in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. This new location consolidated two existing California plants and provides room for capacity expansion. The location includes injection molding, injection blow molding and injection stretch blow molding machinery.
The company also recently expanded operations at locations in both New Jersey and Wisconsin. Overall, the Comar's operating footprint has increased by more than 40 percent in less than two years.
