Cary, N.C. — Publicly traded Cary-based Cornerstone Building Brands Inc. will acquire Spokane Valley, Wash.-based vinyl window and door manufacturer Cascade Windows in a $245 million cash deal with a private equity firm.
Cascade opened about 25 years ago and operates six facilities that produce single and double hung vinyl windows, sliders and patio doors for the new construction and remodeling markets in the West and Pacific Northwest, according to a press release about the transaction.
The Cascade website shows a headquarters office in Spokane Valley and lists other locations as Salt Lake City; Portland, Ore., and Phoenix.
Cascade was purchased by CenterOak Partners LLC, a Dallas-based firm, in 2016. When the transaction closes, it will be part of Cornerstone, which is the No. 2 extruder of pipe, profiles and tubing in North America with sales of $2.29 billion, according to Plastics News' latest ranking.
The sale will mark CenterOak Fund I's third exit in the last 12 months.
